For Women Only: An Ordinary Woman's Diet, Fitness, Weight and Beauty Log and Diary

I want to glorify Christ in my body, and I am learning how to do that. My name means "womanly," but what does that mean? When I became a new wife and Christian, I went on a mission to understand Biblical womanhood, focusing on her from the inside. In more recent years, as my body succumbed to the pull of glutony, gravity and aging, I am focusing as well on my physical appearance. I am learning how God would have me live as a beautiful woman (and aren't we all?) in this world for His glory.

Okay, well, let's start over! 2007!

About a year ago I recall stepping on my home scale (which is about 5 pounds less than the LA Weightloss scale with clothes on, etc.) and it kept hovering around 159, but by grace, I didn't hit the 160. I looked at my rear end, and knew that it was getting bigger than my liking, and knew and decided to reinstitute a dieting program.

Anyway, I am about ten pounds less, all things considered, a year later, but it has been hard. I have been as far as around seventeen pounds lighter (more than that transiently), but currently, I am about 8-10 pounds lighter than a year ago.

It is time to step it up. This is my new goal/plan for 2007. (I'm in California and it is still 2006, though through most of the world it is now 2007.)

By 2008 I want to not be heavier than what I am now, which is probably 152, give or take a couple pounds. If I can maintain this weight, and bring it down about 5 pounds on average, that will be great!! I hope that I have the emotional acceptance of this, that God could want this for me, for His glory and purpose in my life. I want to eat well and take healthy supplements.

I want to change my exercise program, regrettably, because I want to/have decided to work more. So I want to work out 4-6 hours per week, likely in evenings (ugh). I want to maintain the current beauty programs that I am currently involved. That's it for now.

Happy New Year :)

My goal for 2007 is to lose another 20 lbs - that is about what I lost in 06' - give or take a couple of pounds I think I have gained over the holidays ;(

By 08' I want to be down to my goal weight before my 40th b-day - we will see - but that is the plan!

I look forward to continuing to be on the journey with ya :)
