For Women Only: An Ordinary Woman's Diet, Fitness, Weight and Beauty Log and Diary

I want to glorify Christ in my body, and I am learning how to do that. My name means "womanly," but what does that mean? When I became a new wife and Christian, I went on a mission to understand Biblical womanhood, focusing on her from the inside. In more recent years, as my body succumbed to the pull of glutony, gravity and aging, I am focusing as well on my physical appearance. I am learning how God would have me live as a beautiful woman (and aren't we all?) in this world for His glory.

154 and 155 (weight on my scale)

I am getting bigger and my cute little pants don't look at cute. I don't have the same opportunities to work out like I did -or am I just getting lazy?

I did make it in to LA Weightloss and it was not a disaster. I was 155.6 their scale.

152 (my scale) and... a type of death

Okay. Time to do this again. (My scale is lighter than the LA Weightloss scale, in case anyone is trying to keep track. I figure about 4 pounds difference).

So the pounds are piling on, well, they were. Today was a good day, after some failed attempts at trying to restart this dieting process.

Food good for you can be so boring and hard to fix. Oh well.

I'm not going to go to my Tues and Thursday exercise classes because I am going to work instead. That will make exercising harder.

I've been (once!) using a pilates exercise DVD and it was like a type of death. If I did that each AM (30 min) I would almost meet my 4 - 6 hour desire to meet exercise requirments (desires) that I have set out for 2007. Then I only have to find a class or two at the club when I can get there. I figure working out to this DVD might work for a few months until I get the muscles and ability to actually perform them built up.

I went to a back massage on Friday. I go two times a month. I changed those appointments to Saturdays to fit in time for work. (See my other blog from last week and it goes into the fact why I am working more.) I realize that my posture for my back is not so good and the back massage helps to break down all of these tight fibers and muscles I have that keeps my back all ...well, wrong.

I still get my nails done about once a week. I go to the local nail place as a walk-in rather than the fancy and expensive place.

Well, it is a new year and I am glad to be a woman.
